Anacaspi
You came across something once,
By accident, by surprise, by yourself.
A tall dream: a world comprehended.
Eyes (or shadows?) brimming with answers but
Only leaving you with questions which
Were bottlenecked in your throat when
The thing turned away and vanished.
You knew that it knew you.
And you believed
That if you searched long enough,
Worked hard enough,
You’d find it again one day. You’d be it.
Why else?
So you looked and you looked.
